Rescue 15 assists 11,000 persons during current year

ISLAMABAD—With the commitment to serve the people, Rescue 15 Islamabad has done a tremendous job during this year and won great applaud from the people due to its public welfare services.
Introducing new and positive changes under the leadership of IGP Islamabad Syed Kaleem Imam, Rescue 15 has become a unit of Islamabad police which is delivering to the people at their door steps whether it is a case of any emergency or any other problem seeking police assistance.
The performance report of Rescue 15 revealed that it provided immediate assistance to 11,000 people during this year after their calls.
Out of 245 calls regarding missing persons, the Rescue 15 reunited 49 missing senior citizens and children with their families.
Ambulance service, fire brigade service and other facilities like motor cab, medical laboratory and crane/toe-truck are also being provided at Rescue 15.
SP Industrial Area Abdul Ghfar Qaisarani, looking the administrative affairs of Rescue 15, has appreciated the services and directed to maintain the quality of service with professional commitment and dedication.
He directed in-charge Rescue 15 DSP Musrrat Ali Khan to visit the venue of incident in time in case of any mishap and cordon the scene till the arrival of the local police. In case of injury, he said the injured persons should be given first aid immediately.
Meanwhile, the IGP Islamabad has directed the staff of Rescue 15 to give importance to every call and try their utmost to resolve the public complaints. “It is the duty of the police officers to provide protection to the citizens and provide them immediate help in case of any emergency,” he said adding that community policing can only be ensured by bridging the gap between police and public.
He also directed to include members of citizen committees in Rescue 15 activities so as to inculcate friendly and community policing.
Kaleem Imam appreciated the performance of Rescue 15 especially its in-charge DSP Musrrat Ali Khan, directing to make every possible effort to win the public confidence.
