Police still ‘confident’ in finding shop killer
nvestigators continue to pore over evidence and sift through cell phone records as they search for a man who two years ago fatally shot five women in Tinley Park, a crime that has become one of the area’s highest-profile unsolved cases.
On Feb. 2, 2008, a man posing as a delivery worker walked into the Lane Bryant women’s clothing store at 191st Street and Harlem Avenue about 10 a.m. He herded six women into a back room. About 40 minutes later, five women were dead, shot execution-style. One survived.
Investigators confirmed this week that they have returned to Texas to follow up on information they learned during their first trip there in July 2008.
