Missing person cases continue, years after first reported

SEBRING – The Sebring Police Department received a tip from an unusual source while searching for a missing person in September 2000 – a psychic.

“We were actually contacted by a psychic that had heard about it and said she had a vision of water and him,” recalled Sebring Police Sgt. Curtis Hart.

The person they were looking for was Warren Andrews, 72, who last seen leaving the garden center entrance of the Sebring Wal-Mart on Sept. 15, 2000. He was with his 24-year-old grandson and reportedly suffered from Alzheimer’s, Hart said.

“It was thought at the time he just wandered out of the store,” he said. There was video surveillance footage of Andrews leaving.
