Couple investigates historical Coldspring murders in new book
The details of a local murder mystery are resurfacing in a newly published book.
“Coldspring,” co-authored by Cheri Mancuso and her partner, John Scarano, is based on three main, true stories with karmic connections – ending in the tragedy of rage and murder.
The events take place in the Coldspring area and are based on actual trial records, newspaper clippings and family history.
“Coldspring” is an intricate story that chronicles a connection between three people through time and beyond.
Mancuso was born and raised in Salamanca, where she spent much of her childhood during the 1950s. She attended Jefferson school and Salamanca High School, leaving the area at age 15.
